To capture Yosemite and Mono Lake in the greatest authenticity, Phase One is our only equipment to create immersive, multi-frame panoramas, typically assembling 2–4 meticulously aligned exposures into an either a horizontal or vertical, single, expansive image.
Each image is created with an intentional, deliberate, and, painterly approach: I scout precise vantage points to compose scenes that reveal geological scale and atmospheric depth, shoot at the camera’s highest resolution for maximum texture and tonal range, and blend exposures to preserve highlight and shadow detail.
The stitching process preserves fine gradations and spatial coherence so the final panorama reads as a continuous landscape—rich in texture, light, and the subtle mood that defines these places.
